Smartphone as Sleep and Sleep Quality Detector

Jun-Ki Min, Afsaneh Doryab, Jason Wiese

People often use their smartphones as an alarm clock. Their presence near the bed provided an opportunity for us to collect data while people sleep and help detect their sleep quality. To help us collect such data we built an Android app that would collect smartphone sensor information while people slept. Moreover, the app would be used as a sleep diary as well asking for the user's input about their previous night's sleep. To learn more about this study you can see the paper here.

We are also attaching the data we collected from the study. Of course, all data is anonymous. Link to data.
