Shahriyar is a PhD candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. His research interests include computer systems in general with a particular focus on mobile and embedded computing. His research explores privacy and security aspects of location-based services and applications. He has built a number of mobile solutions targeting user privacy, mobile local search, and activity and healthy monitoring.
